Hacker and programmer David Wang has at last done it. He has hacked Apple's iPhone. Wang has successfully booted the iphone with Google's Android.
This is quite an achievement: booting Google's Android operating system on Apple's iPhone

Wang, full fledged member of the a group termed "The iPhone Development Team," which is devoted to hacking iPhones. Just last week he posted a video demonstrating the Google Android on an iPhone.
The video reveals the booting process complete with the Tux Linux mascot. Moreover it reveals Wang using the Google Droid for browsing, getting a text message, answering a phone call and playing music.
Wang has the iPhone set up with a dual-boot configuration. You can see this as Wang begins the video with the iPhoine running on its OS.
Wang promptly admits that his hack is not production-quality at this point in time. He states that the hack is still in its Alpha phase but he asserts that the whole thing works in terms of functionality.
Wang's Google Droid hack on the iPhone is quite a technical achievement Some say it will not transform the industry nor the behavior of mainstream users. The one noteable thing Wangs hack does reveal is that the iPhone can be hacked even with its grip on the source code.
Wang remarks that he has been working on his patch since 2008. The video he utilizes to validate his successful hack is made with a first-generation iPhone. However, new iPhones are also likely to be compromised by this hack.
Wang claims that it ought to be simple to port forward to the iPhone 3G. He readily admits that the 3GS will take additional effort however. Wang's aspiration is to make the Google Droid a viable option or supplement for the iPhone and perhaps we can finally integrate Flash.
